The Smitty!
This is The Smitty, the new torch lighter from Colibri. The Smitty was designed in June 2003 by SSG Andrew Smith, while serving in combat with the U.S. Army's 115th Military Police Company in the city of Fallujah, Iraq. Inspiration for this lighter came from the ingenuity of soldiers serving in Iraq who often had to invent ways of making their equipment ready/available, using combinations of slings and hooks.
It boasts a wind resistant Quantum Force V flame, locking cap with rubber seal making it both weather and sand resistant, integrated carabiner clip and a fuel-level viewing window. It comes packaged in a great, sturdy aluminum case.
This is a handsome piece designed by one of America's finest.
