In My Defense...

December 17, 2005

My daughter is three and goes to a local Montessori school. The other morning, while dropping her and and her brother off I was approached by a mother who asked, "Are you S's father?"
"Yes," I said.
"Well, S has been hitting M (her daughter)."
"She's probably just taking a break from hitting JP (my son)."
Silence.
"I'll talk to her," I said.

So later that night, as we wound down from dinner and bathtime, and we had a moment alone, I broached the subject. "S, M's mommy told me today that you've been hitting her."
"Did you see me hit her?" she asked.

So, my question is, when is it too early to sign her up for law school?

I've got an internship waiting for her.
